This picture-book region of outstanding beauty, with iced capped mountains set against clear blue skies slashed by jaw dropping gorges filled with noisy fast-flowing rivers, green meadows and onion-domed churches is a veritable paradise for bikers. Motorcycle GB Plate

A GB plate must be displayed on the rear of your vehicle

It is an International legal requirement that every motor vehicle which is being driven from one country to another must display a ‘Country of Origin’ identity plate.

Failure to do this could result in the immediate imposition of an ‘on the spot fine’.

On the Spot Fines

The moment these are demanded, they have to be paid in cash, in the local currency, to the arresting officer, can typically be 60 – 700 Euros. Credit cards or travellers cheques are not accepted, and in some countries inability to pay risks impounding your vehicle until the fine is paid.
